Parenting provides the greatest rewards ... and the greatest challenges. If you are raising a child with special needs, that labor of love grows exponentially. Parents often reach out to us because they are confused and frustrated by conflicting, "helpful" input from well-intentioned (but often misinformed!) family and friends - sometimes even pediatrician input is unclear. An initial consult with us allows us to lay "clinical eyes and ears" upon your child, and we may then begin to offer answers, direction and clarity.
As a parent, you have many choices. Private services are for parents who have either exhausted free options (see below) or are looking to supplement programs already underway. We have extensive experience collaborating with many allied professionals and groups and can easily integrate what is already working and coordinate approaches so that progress is achieved efficiently. We provide evidence-based, individualized intervention that supports your student's learning needs, while capitalizing on their strengths! Our level of commitment to our families and schools is truly unique.
We offer the following services:
- Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)
- Comprehensive Language Assessment (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
- Educational Advocacy Support
- Special Witness
DID YOU KNOW? FREE Services May Be Available for Students!
Your local school district can assess your child, free of charge, if you believe he or she has a speech or language impairment; you may submit a written request to the district requesting assessment to determine if your child meets eligibility for special education services. School districts are required to respond to your request, in writing, within 15 days of receiving your written request; they may respond with either an assessment plan or an explanation regarding denial of your request. However, you may choose to pursue assessment via a private vs. a public entity, at your own personal expense.
